Using Dragon with e-mail: Voice Shortcuts

Dragon's Shortcut commands for Microsoft Outlook let you quickly create a new e-mail message or appointment at any time, no matter what program is active.

Send [an] e-mail to <name><name>...<name> and <name>

"Send e-mail to John Doe and Jane Doe"

Sends e-mail to a specific contact.

A new e-mail appears with John Doe and Jane Doe's name in the To: field. If you have these names in your address book, your e-mail will turn those names into the correct e-mail addresses.

Send [an] e-mail (about | on)<subject>

"Send e-mail about project schedule"

Send e-mail on a specific subject.

A new e-mail appears with the phrase "Project Schedule" in the Subject field.

(schedule | create | book) ([a] meeting | [an] appointment) with <name> <name>...<name> and <name>

"Schedule a meeting with John Doe and Jane Smith"

A new Appointment window appears with John Doe and Jane Smith listed as attendees.
This command works only with Microsoft Outlook.

Before using the Shortcut commands for Microsoft Outlook for the first time, you must run the Increase Accuracy From E-mail tool, so that Dragon knows your Outlook contacts. To run the Increase Accuracy tool, from the DragonBar, go to Vocabulary > Learn from sent e-mails.
